    Complementary Description

    Your role:

    • Responsible for the daily follow-up of the Customs process;

    • Ensure that our Customs process is updated and people are involved and trained accordingly;

    • Act as a back-up of the Customs Officer;

    • Involve the Customs Officer in operations and support the professional development of his/her team;

    • Ensure that the actions related to Customs audits or operations meeting are under control and done before the due date;

    • Escalate and keep informed the hierarchy about the issues;

    • Ensure that the company rules are applied.

    Job Requirements

    Your profile:

    • You have at least 5 years of experience in customs management and you are familiar with current and specific customs software;

    • You demonstrate good communication skills, good practical sense and a sense of initiative while anticipating and taking part in the context of continuous improvement;

    • You have a good team spirit and are open and adaptable;

    • You speak fluently Dutch and are almost fluent in English;

    • You have a good knowledge of IT tools (Office + ERP).

    Our wishes:

    • You have at least a basic knowledge of French;

    • You have experience in people management;

    • You have experience in audit.

    Specificity of the job

    To strengthen our Supply Chain Department we are looking for a Customs Manager:

    who will lead and handle all the customs activities of SAESB; ensuring that the process is conform to the regulation requirements and to our authorizations, and will act as a point of contact towards the Customs Authorities. He supports the Customs Officer in the daily operations whenever there is a need, proposing improvements to SAESB Customs process.
