We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to define and govern robust, secure, and scalable architectures in a highly interconnected and regulated environment. This hands-on role will involve working closely with business stakeholders, development teams, and infrastructure/security teams to design solutions that align with strategic business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Solution Design & Architecture
Define, review, and maintain coherent, scalable, and secure architectures for cloud and hybrid environments.
- Translate business requirements into concrete technical designs and solutions.
Design application and data architectures that align with business objectives and are maintainable over time.
Security & Compliance
Implement Security by Design principles to ensure the architecture is secure.
- Design solutions with a focus on network segmentation, IAM, encryption, and access control.
Translate NIS2 regulatory requirements into concrete technical measures and ensure compliance.
Technical Leadership & Support
Provide guidance on system integrations, data models, performance, and scalability.
- Lead the adoption of modern architectural patterns and technologies across teams.
Support the development of Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to validate solutions.
Governance & Quality
Ensure the architecture aligns with organizational standards and industry best practices.
- Continuously improve system maintainability, security, and scalability.
Document architectural decisions and rationale to maintain transparency and alignment.
Collaboration & Communication
Act as a key point of contact between business, development, security, and infrastructure teams.
- Communicate complex technical decisions clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions meet business objectives and are feasible within existing infrastructure.
Required Technical Expertise:
- Expertise in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP) and cloud-native principles.
- Advanced knowledge of modern Java (Spring, microservices, API-driven, event-driven architectures).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., OpenShift).
- Strong experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL) and data modeling.
- Familiarity with integration patterns (messaging, REST, GraphQL, event-driven architectures).
- Experience designing resilient and high-availability systems.
Education:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Cloud or architecture certifications are a plus.
Languages:
- Very good command of French or Dutch, and English.

- Strong analytical and synthesis skills.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
- Collaborative leadership style with a focus on team success.
- Strategic, holistic thinking with a strong focus on quality and proactive problem-solving.
Job Types: Full-time, Freelance
Pay: €250,00 - €670,00 per day
