    System Engineer Expert (Monitoring/Alerting) Primary Tasks and responsibilities:


    • Development of an SCOM management packs for in-house developed applications using Visual Studio Authoring Extensions.


    • Installation, configuration and maintenance of the management packs or add-on for the tools below to integrate with the SCOM platform:


    • DMC (DB2)


    • Dynatrace


    • Grafana


    • JMeter


    • EView (iSeries)


    • OpenShift


    • Etc.


    • Creating integration flows with the ticketing tool Jira (product Atlassian), to automatically convert certain alerts into tickets.


    • Creation and improvement of Squared Up dashboards.


    • Provide frequent knowledge transfer to teams (Production & Wins Teams)

    Secondary Tasks and responsibilities:


    • Documenting the monitoring of a new project, product or service and keeping that technical documentation up-to-date
    • These monitoring developers must have an excellent knowledge of the environment in which they work, as well as an innate sense of communication.


    • Be able to easily explain certain technical components using vocabulary that the requesting client is familiar with
    • Proofread manuals or functional guides to an application user on all monitoring aspects and make necessary corrections
    • Troubleshoot a major incident on production and be able to answer monitoring questions coming from the incident manager or service management
    • Participate in the assessment of a project as well as technical meetings when the customer requests monitoring or alerting; the candidate must be able to meet the customers needs while complying with the scope, timing and budgetary requirements
    • organise internal meetings with the other technical departments
    • in case of planned changes to our infrastructure (understanding the impact on our monitoring screens)
    • with a view to continuous improvement of our services and applications in terms of all monitoring aspects
    • Being responsible for the maintenance of the monitored applications, products and services on the basis of look-back moments (checking whether the maintenance still meets our monitoring and security criteria)
    • Striving for continuous evolution and continuous improvement of the monitoring and alerting provided
    • Defining and implementing the selected improvement actions and ensuring compliance with good development and management practices
    • Maintain a high level of satisfaction by striving for operational excellence
    • Participate in creating the culture and atmosphere within the team, while playing an ambassador role, and contribute to the implementation of projects within your department, playing an active role in the success of the project

    Technical Profile Requirements:


    • Knowledge of SCOM and SquaredUp is essential (or an asset) and knowledge of other tools such as Dynatrace, Grafana/Prometheus and Azure Cloud is also an asset.


    • Knowledge of the general principles of monitoring and alerting.


    • You have knowledge of the structure of XML (an important asset), JSON and CSV files.


    • Knowledge of scripting languages is a real asset: PowerShell, Bash/Shell, Sequel Query Language.


    • You have basic knowledge of Windows and Linux server administration.


    • You have basic knowledge of e-mail, web, DB and cloud servers.


    • You have a basic understanding of networks: DNS, firewall, router, LAN/WAN, VPN, F5 and Meraki.


    • You have notions of how to create robots in the JMeter application and notions of the Fiddler analysis tool.

    Requirements
    Être un guide pour le métier dans la définition des besoins ;
    • Réflexion sur les processus actuels et futurs en collaboration avec les référents informatique métier ;
    • Participer activement à l'optimisation des processus, des outils et des méthodes de travail ;
    • Participer à l'analyse et à la conception de la solution DPI à mettre en place ;
    • Proposer une bonne intégration du nouveau DPI dans le paysage applicatif existant ;
    • Vérifier la conformité des solutions mises en œuvre avec les besoins analysés, en étroite collaboration avec l'équipe de projet et le métier ;
    • Être un interlocuteur privilégié pour les partenaires internes et externes impliqués dans le projet ;
    • Rédaction de procédures internes à destination des utilisateurs finaux ;
    • Organiser des formations à destination des utilisateurs finaux ; Participer à l'interopérabilité du DPI pour l'ensemble du SIH, et cela à différents niveaux du projet : analyse, implémentation, tests et validation ;
    • Participer à l'intégration de modules applicatifs du DPI au niveau de l'interface ;
    • Définir les solutions possibles avec les différentes parties prenantes ;
    • Analyser, modéliser et transformer des données administratives vers le DPI ;
    • Gérer et consolider les analyses dans le cadre du changement de DPI ;
    • Prendre en charge des analyses dans le cadre de projets transversaux et stratégiques.
    • Être l'interface IT/métier (Gestion du changement) ;
