Global Supply Chain manager

As Global Supply Chain manager, you oversee Septentrio's international procurement strategies, making sure they secure high-quality material for the best prices.

You report to the Head of Operations and are responsible for contract manufacturing, purchasing, forecast planning, logistics and internal sales.

Together with the team, you manage the component and product inventory, you build up and maintain supplier relationships and follow up on quality issues with suppliers.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Formulate and develop strategies and policy lines regarding Supply Chain, and this in conformity with the organizational objectives.
Propose and confer on the strategy regarding Supply Chain and the resulting objectives to/with the head of operations.
Develop a performing Global Supply Chain organization by means of an adequate coordination of processes and (collaboration with) suppliers and buyers in order to obtain an optimal balance in availability, flexibility, efficiency and quality.
Manage the budget of the department in order to organize the different activities of the department and guarantee the results within the policy lines of the financial plan.
Continuously improve Septentrio's quality standards (ISO 9001) & the reliability of Septentrio's products.
Supervise compliance with the company objectives, standards and procedures and timely intervene when necessary in order to realize the fixed objectives of the department.
You organize tenders and lead contracts negotiations with suppliers
Build a solid team within Supply Chain of highly qualified collaborators and encourage cross departmental collaboration in order to achieve our company objectives.
Transfer your expertise within the field of Supply Chain to the different collaborators within the department in order to guarantee long term continuity.
Determine and evaluate improvement projects aiming to optimize the functioning of the entire Supply Chain.

YOU

Masters degree in Engineering, Economics or equivalent
Proven track record or at least 5 years in Purchasing and Supply chain
You are an excellent negotiator. You are able to review, negotiate and modify supplier T&C's and framework agreements.
Knowledge of SAP is required
Knowledge of electronics is considered a big advantage
