    Position overview

    Do you have strong technical sales background in the coatings resin industry and you are looking for your next challenge?
    We are looking for a Sales Manager for Benelux and Nordic regions (primarily) to maximize sales and margins growth and act as primary contact for established and potential customers to become a key supplier for customers in region.
    You will maintain and further develop the current customers portfolio as well as explore new opportunities and take appropriate actions in collaboration with other functions to develop these into profitable business.

    Responsibilities

  • Implementing, assessing and adapting Commercial Strategy in close liaison with Management: Sets up own sales targets (growth, margin, forecast) into own account management and elaborates customer action plan in order to meet sales and financial objectives.
  • Keeping abreast of market, customer and competitor information in close liaison with Sales, Marketing and Business Development: Builds up and maintains customer networks: e.g. participates in events, trade shows, networking. Identifies opportunities for additional sales of products, technology and solutions.
  • Managing a portfolio of accounts: Maintains existing customer relations' focusing in maximizing sales and margins growth. Seeks new contacts and new customers in existing and new markets. Promotes new products, technologies and solutions.
  • Ensuring reporting and communication: Writes account reports (monthly status reports and reviews, SWOT analysis, forecasts, etc.). Liaises with other functions, part of cross functional collaboration and projects, when required. Participates in sales meetings: discusses new and cross business opportunities, sales efforts; sharing market intelligence info, etc.
  • Required skills and experience

  • Technical expertise: strong technical background, preferably in depth product knowledge, knowledge about coating and resin industry, ideally in Industrial coatings, covering powder coating and liquid coating.
  • 5+ years in a technical sales role, combination with a degree in chemical industry or lab technician background is beneficial.
  • Strong in value creation and consultative selling: understanding of value chain, advisory skills.
  • Excellent negotiating skills and experience.
  • High verbal and written communication skills, strong English language skills required; German language skills will be considered as great benefit.
  • Proficient in use of ICT tools, good financial acumen.
  • Planning and self-organization skills combined with strategic thinking and acting.
  • Business acumen and curiosity: in depth knowledge of coating resin market, sales account management.
  • Cross-business and functional awareness.
  • High decision-making skills, strong focus on solutions.
