Functie

The key responsibility is managing Health and Safety and creating a safety culture within the plant.
Will manage the local QHSE team.
Contributes to the creation of the strategy of the plant, drafts, follows up and monitors the annual QHSE plan.
Develops, controls, and adjusts the QHSE management system.
Points out bottlenecks regarding Health & Safety, occupational health, working conditions, and environment.
Actively and efficiently supports supervisors and managers with incidents and accidents investigation.
Will coordinate the accident investigations and strives for real actions, taking into account the prevention hierarchy.
Implements and monitors the compliance with the QHSE policy, processes, and procedures within the company.
Sets KPI's as targets for direct reports and holds each employee accountable for their respective domains to maintain a balance between responsibilities and controlling the results
Implements lessons learned from inspections and findings in the form of improved processes, procedures, and instructions.
Advises management about the required and desired training regarding QHSE topics for the workers.
Is in close communication with the QHSE Director to discuss and align strategies, issues and improvement programs.
Leads meetings of his/her department and attends other meetings in a contributing manner when and where needed.
Gives information to employees about progress and development within the QHSE management system.
