    How You'll make an Impact

    The Team Lead - Global Technology Planning plays a critical role in supporting the operations within Infrastructure, Health, Corporate Payments, Platform, Global Technology, and Information Security sectors at WEX Technology. This role involves leading a group of Technical Program Managers and taking an active part in executing complex projects. At the heart of Technology Planning, the goal is to streamline the development and deployment process of WEX Technology's products and ensure effective coordination of internal system projects from start to finish. A key responsibility of this position is to enhance the team's effectiveness in tracking and reporting, thereby contributing actionable insights that support strategic decisions. Reporting to the Senior Manager - Technology Planning, and collaborating with Technical Innovation & Strategic Operations and the Chief Digital Officer (CDO), the Technology Planning Team Lead ensures projects are aligned with WEX Technology's strategic aims. This role requires fostering a culture of agility, community engagement, and execution excellence, closely working with the team to achieve project and organizational objectives .

  • Project Leadership: Guide and manage the execution of technology planning strategies, supporting the Director of Technology Planning in engaging with stakeholders and leadership to align with the organization's mission and vision.
  • Team Collaboration and Guidance: Promote collaboration and facilitate the sharing of best practices among project managers within the team. Support the adoption of cutting-edge program and project management methodologies, tools, and standards.
  • Operational Support: Assist in identifying and setting up team roles and structures to achieve project goals. Manage day-to-day team workloads and serve as a point of contact for business and technical queries.
  • Mentorship and Coaching: Provide coaching and mentorship to team members, fostering a supportive and high-achieving environment that aligns with the company's goals.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication with senior leadership and stakeholders, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products that meet internal and external expectations.
  • Minimum Required Qualifications for Consideration:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Technical/Information Science or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in project management within the technology sector, including experience in leading teams or projects.
  • Solid understanding of project and change management principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Experience with budgeting and resource management in technology projects.
  • Familiarity with implementing planning processes in high-transaction, e-commerce, or financial services industries.
  • The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
