The Challenge
As the Accounting Specialist, you are responsible for accounting related processes, which remain in the market.

You act as the guardian of the market accounting policies and procedures and point of contact for the Center of Scale in accounting related questions and improvement initiatives.

Your role is a key function in the Record to Report (R2R) end-to-end processes.

Your responsibilities as Accounting Specialist are:

Acting as Point of Contact for accounting in the market: providing strong support/market intervention to resolve any issues and escalations, working together with the Center of Scale. Managing and monitoring the performance of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and indicators of services (KPIs); analyzing and disseminating periodic reports. Driving action plans to correct deviations in services and implementing process improvements.
Supporting the monthly/quarterly reporting to Group.
Supporting the intercompany activities, from billing activities to reconciliation of intercompany balances.
Supporting the Fixed Asset activities
Ensuring the completion of the monthly balance sheet reconciliations, and actively working on resolving open items.
Supporting the annual process of creating the Company's Financial Statements and supporting the external audit activities.
Establishing, maintaining and communicating the market Accounting policies and procedures. Ensuring compliance with Nestlé guidelines, instructions and best practices of market related scopes.

As Accounting Specialist, you play a challenging and critical role within the Financial Services team. You will report into the Financial Service Manager.

Accounting Specialist at Nestlé for the Benelux:

The Financial Services team within Nestlé Benelux supports the business for all Accounts Payable (including Travel and Expense), Accounts Receivable and Accounting Operations activities.

We are looking for a strong analytical and process-oriented person with good organizational skills with the relevant knowledge and experience.

A proactive attitude is essential, you are also able to work under pressure and deliver the expected results. Accuracy and timeliness are critical for the success in this role. Because of your good communication skills, you easily work together with different people and teams within the organization. You are flexible and adaptable in your approach and are able to work with mínimal supervision. The role will require regular travel to Belgium in the initial few months.
