Responsibilities:

Global oversight of Tracking Team and Shipping Assistants.

Evaluates Performance and identifies and corrects performance problems. Point of escalation for calls related to logístical issues.

Ensures efficient and effective operations of the department and is responsible for quality within the section.

Supervises and participates in the daily operations of the Global Tracking Team, Shipping Assistants or where needed and follows up on complaints/issues until resolution.

Provides training for new personnel or when new processes are implemented.

Attends study protocol meetings and educates staff on issues requiring attention. Creates holiday planning for the team.

As a member of the GSS Leadership team your presence onsite may be required for the following events, but not limited to:

  • Meetings and/or trainings, team coaching
  • Audits
  • Kitting activities
  • Vendor visits (couriers, kitting vendors_, _)_

Responsibilities:


  • Reports to (Assoc) Mgr level or higher
  • Manage Logistics Coordinators of the Tracking Team
  • Act as a Backup to the Team Lead of the Maintenance Team
  • Manage Shipping Assistants
  • Directs and participates in all aspect of daily operations of the department
  • Provides training to new staff members and when new processes are implemented.
  • Evaluates Performance and identifies and corrects performance problems
  • Manage courier performance, save monthly performance reports on Sharepoint
  • Attend QBR meetings with couriers
  • Attend client meetings to present courier capabilities, challenges or setup
  • IATA certified
  • Manages IATA certification for Logistics Team (all subgroups)
  • Point of escalation for calls related to courier issues, performance and logístical issues and escalates to management/appropriate department to ensure satisfaction of internal and external customers.
  • Assist Management with training; quality compliance; SOP reviews and updates.
  • Coordinate the review and action required on custom reports
