General job description:
  • The Research Grade Production Associate is a hands
  • on person who will work collaboratively on the production of RG
  • mRNA as well as the production of in house cloned plasmids. This position provides also input on the implementation, optimization and validation of new (innovative) methods.
This position reports to the mRNA Chemistry Senior Scientist and will be based in Niel.


Responsibilities and Duties:

The Research Grade Production Associate duties shall include, but not be limited to:

  • Primary responsibility will be to produce RG-mRNA including different purification steps.
  • Perform in house cloning experiments.
  • Assist in the development of new techniques/assays.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments and or project managers.
  • Maintain appropriate files related to ongoing experiments. Write analytical test methods, protocols and reports if necessary.
  • Help to troubleshoot experimental techniques, analyzing the data and reporting the experimental results.
  • Participate in the maintenance and cleaning of equipment and lab areas.
  • Inventory management and ordering of laboratory supplies.

Job requirements:


Education:

Professional Bachelor in Laboratory Techniques or Master in Pharmaceutical/Biomedical/Biological Sciences or related field with lab experience.


Experience:


  • Broad technical expertise and mastering of several molecular biology techniques, especially the manipulation of nucleic acids is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of good manufacturing practices (GMP) and lab quality assurance practices is a plus
