Work preparation & project follow up

  • Is the SPOC (Single Point Of Contact) for the projects assigned to him/her and towards the client, the subcontractors and the staff in respect of all project related matters.
  • Getting familiar with all the available project documentation and assessing the operational, technical and financial feasibility and anticipate if applicable
  • Responsible for visiting the site, setting up a detailed project planning and checking all the requirements for mobilization in and out of equipment and human resources.
  • Ensuring (or having ensured) that all engineering and preparatory activities are undertaken and outlining the work methods.
  • Instructs and followsup all direct, indirect, HQ team members appointed to his/her project.
  • Ensures that all related project information and documentation are properly stored and archived.
  • Foresees project risks and project uncertainties and develops mitigation actions where necessary.
  • Communicates with relevant departments concerning the execution and progress of the project.
  • Attends kickoff meetings, technical/site meetings, commercial meetings and planning meetings as well as site inspections,with the client or with internal departments if needed.
  • Responsible for having a projectspecific safety plan, if required supported by other departments.
- (S)he is, as a employee, the Ambassador towards all stakeholders.

  • Supervision operational activities
  • Monitoring the progress and quality of the project, identifying deviations and correcting (or initiate corrections) where necessary.
  • Managing operational staff and subcontractors with regard to the project execution. Supervises the safe execution of the project on site and observes the QSHE regulations and administration.
  • Supervises the assembly methods and checks the quality of the delivered materials.
  • Controls equipment certificates / makes sure equipment is remained certified during project. Takes action if applicable.
  • Responsible for the necessary specific project related certificates, documents and trainings for the human resources
  • Contract management
  • Responsible for contract administration requirements and deliverables.


  • Claim management

  • Identifying and drafting contract variations and/or delay notifications with substantiation of costs based on the existing agreements
  • Ensuring variations are communicated to and negotiated with the client according to the contractual administration requirements
  • Financial follow up & administration
  • Responsible for having the project working budget in place based on sales calculation, contractual agreed revenue and actual execution method and site conditions
  • Responsible for budget follow up and daily cost management via regular updates, gathers and controls all available data in order to draft periodical progress reports for ongoing projects and initiates invoicing.
  • Responsible for initiating purchase orders, checking and approving all incoming project related invoices (including for contract variations), ensuring the recharges are correct.
  • Follow up of receivables and take actions if applicable.
  • Looks for commercial opportunities, additional billable services or other ways to improve the financial revenue of the assigned projects
  • Managing and keeping the project information up to date where needed and initiating updates of project info in the applicable ERP systems.
