Europe Financial Analysis Manager

Sibelco is a global material solutions company. We mine, process and sell industrial minerals at locations worldwide, focused primarily on silica, clays, feldspathics and olivine. Role Purpose:


This is a newly created position, which will collaborate with the Europe Finance VP in analysis of European performance, definition and follow up of the action plans and implementation of Global projects in European scope.


Responsibilities:


  • Acting as a right hand for the Europe Finance VP
  • Development of a solid understanding of European business performance
  • Analysis and challenge of European actuals, budgets and forecasts in connection with regional finance directors
  • Preparation of monthly business reviews with regional financial directors for the destination of EVPs Sales & Operations and VP Finance Europe
  • Benchmarking of regional financial performance, providing recommendations on action points and following up the results
  • Influencing subregional FDs, high exposure to the senior management of Sibelco (CFO, Sales & Ops EVPs), acting in in the context of organizational change where the resources are scarce, priorities need to be negotiated, alternative solutions need to be explored on a constant basis to ensure the achievement of goals
  • Drive sharing the best practices across European regions
  • Providing insights and analytics for adhoc analysis required by the VP finance and Sales & Ops EVPs
  • Support Europe Finance VP in implementing of Group projects on the European scope and in driving the performance and process improvements

About you:

  • Master's Degree in Economics or related areas 510 years experience in advisory services, consultancy or high standards corporate environment
  • Experience of financial analysis and capacity to summarize and present the information
  • Experience working in complex and changing environment
  • Great aptitude for IT systems (Ideally knowledge of Tagetik, Power BI, SAP4 Hana)
  • Knowledge of Power BI reports building preferred
  • Fluent written and verbal English; other languages are an asset
