We are looking for an experienced Customs Expert to join our growing team in the implementation of new locations and customers.

Your Role :You will be responsible for providing expertise in relation to customs within two/three of our ongoing projects. As customs Expert, you will be responsible for the complete translation of our initial concept towards a performing and implemented systems. This role is both focusing on optimization, projects and the latest adaptations in the legislation. You will be a vital part of our customs management and have the opportunity to assist in our further growth in customs.

Your Responsibilities:

Ensure we guide our customers in terms of their desired setup, legal boundaries, and our system processes.
Setting up our processes in such a way our teams can deliver correct and on time customs documentation/formalities for import, transit and export.
Where necessary you assist in helping our customers to the most optimal solution
Building and maintaining a strong relationship with our customer
Develop yourself to be up to date on all relevant customs legislation and the potential impact it may have on our operations.
You guide and coach both the project team, customer and our customer employees on said legislation.

Your Skills and Experiences:

Bachelor degree in international forwarding and logistics or equal level by experience
2 years of experience as a customs officer in a B2C and/or B2B environment
Very good knowledge of the customs declarations process and Incoterms
Experience with customs software such as PLDA and NCTS is a must
If you have any experience in managing complex projects, this is certainly a plus
