Context:

Part of Engie GEMS Information System department, you will be reporting to the Head of IS for BP LNG and Biomass.

The main activities of this analyst role are:

Empower business users to carry out their day-to-day operations effectively (e.g. on market data acquisition and controls, deal bookings, shipment scheduling, PnL calculation & Risks reportings, back-office controls and quality checks, invoicing & interfacing with accounting systems)
Understand and challenge business needs and develop functionalities based on complex business requirements
Create custom reports & dashboards using Power BI
Coordinate UAT & production deployment of new system functionalities
Provide effective and timely communication to all relevant teams

Hard skills:

Must have:

Experience with Power BI (or similar BI tools)
Solid knowledge of front, middle and back office processes and functional design on commodity trading including deal representation (both physical & financial), MTM pricing, logistics, settlement, accounting and controls
Prior knowledge of physical commodities trading: (biomass, LNG, etc.) including logistic aspects (shipping overseas, inland transportation, storages) and financial derivatives (future, forwards, swaps, options, etc.)

Experience with a data integration and ETL tool as Talend or Databricks

Must have:

Good ability to translate business requirements into a technical solution with good design & supportability
Eager to understand and work on business logics particularly related to pricing
Flexible to work on multiple topics whenever required to support business as close as possible
Good communication skills, especially when engaging with different stakeholders
A team player and ability to work with global teams effectively
Ability to work under pressure and dealing with constraints ( especially end of months closings )
Strong discipline in documentation
