For our site in Wilrijk we are looking for a Team Manager Customs.


YOUR CHALLENGES


Your main task is to ensure the operation and continuity of our customs department according to the existing regulations by managing and supporting our customs declarants.

You are responsible for the further professionalization of the customs department by continuously evaluating the existing processes and adjusting them where necessary.

  • As a mentor you take care of the team and of the continuous development of your employees. You know better than anyone else how to direct, coach and enthuse.
  • Besides managing and coordinating our declarants, you make sure that the workload is well aligned so that activities can run smoothly.
  • Like no other you are able to align the knowledge of the employees with the current processes and procedures.
  • You follow up on customs activities and provide support to the customs services within your own region to ensure smooth operation of the service.
  • Taking care of a smooth operational implementation of new customers is also part of your challenging tasks.
  • As Team Manager Customs you act as point of contact for both internal and external colleagues and customs services in order to provide advice on specific customs matters. Building a network of customs agents (subcontractors) is also part of this.
  • You follow up on the usual KPI's, you work closely together with the Compliance team and you are also responsible for drawing up and following up the leave planning and the capacity utilization.
