Kuehne+Nagel BeLux is looking for ambitious Dutch-speaking students, interested to grow and gain a relevant first working experience within one of the leading companies in the Logistics and Supply Chain industry worldwide.

Your Role :Kuehne+Nagel believes in investing in the development of emerging talents. As a Bachelor student, during your internship, you will be engaged in a different number of tasks within the Road Logistics department situated in Kampenhout. This facility is home to 150 employees and operates approximately 100 trailers to various European destinations. At the end of your internship, you will be able to understand the different aspects of road freight such as handling LTL and FTL cargo, groupage shipments on dedicated line hauls or even customs formalities when shipping to the UK or Switzerland. You will be able to work independently within a controlled environment.

Your Responsibilities:

The specific responsibilities you will have vary from department to department and can be the following

Initiation of transport planning and handling (National or International) in our planning systems.

Introduction to calculation of freight charges.
Collaboration with freight carriers (registration and handling of shipments).
Working together with KN offices throughout our strong KN network.
First contact with international customers and carriers.
Responsibility for export/import documents & general administrative tasks.

Your Skills and Experiences:

Internship for Bachelor Logistics / Supply Chain.
Interested in European Road Logistics.
Strong initiative and ability to work independently.
Good communication skills, spoken and written.
Advanced knowledge of Dutch and English, knowledge of French is an asset.
