As Quantitative Risk Analyst, you will work in the risk management team of Cigna's European business. Cigna Europe offers global health, life and accident insurance products to corporates, international organisations and individuals.

Job Purpose
Supporting in the development, maintenance and documentation of the internal capital model and provide capital related deliverables for Cigna Europe
Executing quantitative risk management initiatives addressing business needs and regulatory requirements covering all aspects of Solvency II
Compiling, assessing and reporting risk information to the Quantitative Risk Management Lead
Ensuring that Cigna Europe's activities comply with relevant legislation and regulation


Job Description:


Key responsibilities:

Use the Partial Internal Model (PIM) for regulatory purposes for the solo and group insurance undertakings
Advise on the methodology / calibration / parameterisation of the internal model
Own the data gathering process supporting the PIM calculations
Develop model documentation, PIM quantitative outcomes and reporting (including Balance Sheet valuation, EV, liquidity)
Facilitate internal / external model validation
Provide support to Actuarial Function activities
Develop, manage and refine quantitative risk reporting meeting the needs of the Chief Risk Officer and Comité de Direction, in order to enable effective decision making
Formulate a coherent risk appetite and ensure integration in investment, underwriting and reinsurance processes
Embed a positive culture of confident and informed risk-taking through training, communication and promotion of the risk framework
Participate in complex actuarial assignments or projects


Requirements:

Actuarial Degree
Programming skills - knowledge of R is a plus
Working experience in the insurance sector or insurance advisory
Critical attitude and ability to independently exercise judgement
Ability to translate analysis into business insights
Works autonomously, only requiring "expert" level technical support
Team player and keen to work in an international environment
Fluent in English. Knowledge of French or Dutch is a plus.
Remote working possible. Preference for working location Belgium.
