The responsibilities:

In this position you will play a key role to support the battery competence team with management of the data, development of various data processing tools and creating new visualizations, introducing new functionalities to the experiment management tool, and contribute/lead projects/tasks related to the automation of processes.

Your responsibilities:

Planning, overseeing, and contributing to execution and implementation of the data processing tools and new functionalities in experiment management system related to battery testing competence.
Initiating discussions with team members, gathering the needs for new visualization, processing functionalities, and conceptualizing them.
Management of the knowledge sharing structure within Sharepoint.
Understanding the meaning of battery testing results and independently suggesting best practices to process and visualize them.
Generating automated solutions for reoccurring data analysis tasks (e.g. KPIs)
Contributing to automation projects of processes and data analysis, taking the lead in data processing tasks.
Taking charge of master data management for experiment management system
Supporting end users by drawing up and securing documentation (user manuals, training material,...) and/or providing training/guidance
Performing small laboratory tasks of cell assembly and their electrochemical characterization (limited).
Gathering analytical and battery testing data on the synthesized battery materials, presenting the data in a meaningful way, interpreting the results, and communicating them to the project team.
Collaborating with people on all levels within the team and with other teams on crossfunctional projects.

What we expect from you:

Bachelor or Master Degree in materials science, engineering or related fields or relevant experience.
Good knowledge of programming in python or willingness to develop this competence at a fast pace to reach expert level.
General interest and passion towards data processing, IT systems, visualization, and automation.
Good general knowledge in material science.
Knowledge in electrochemistry: batteries, characterization, battery testing is an added value
Good written and verbal communication skills and ability to clearly explain decisions based on the data and results.
Is willing to learn different battery assembly and testing procedures to understand better the needs for automation and data management within battery competence team.
Strong in organization and analytical skills for data management, analysis, and results presentation.
Strong in multitasking and planning.
Driven personality who takes initiative.
Full professional proficiency in both oral and written English is required, knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
Likes to work within a team, likes to take up a guiding/training role.
Works in an ordered and accurate way.
Is creative and thinks broadly, can draw quick conclusions based on observations.
Likes to solve issues.
