Safran Aircraft Engine Services Brussels is a subsidiary of Safran Aircraft Engines, based at Brussels Airport (Zaventem, Belgium), specialized in the inspection, maintenance and repair (MRO) of the advanced LEAP jet engines that power the latest generation of the Airbus A320NEO & Boeing B737MAX narrow body families. The company is a key player in the integrated CFM international MRO network. To strengthen our Supply Chain Department we are looking for a Customs Manager:

who will lead and handle all the customs activities of SAESB; ensuring that the process is conform to the regulation requirements and to our authorizations, and will act as a point of contact towards the Customs Authorities.

He supports the Customs Officer in the daily operations whenever there is a need, proposing improvements to SAESB Customs process.

Your role:

Responsible for the daily followup of the Customs process;
Ensure that our Customs process is updated and people are involved and trained accordingly;
Act as a backup of the Customs Officer;
Involve the Customs Officer in operations and support the professional development of his/her team;
Ensure that the actions related to Customs audits or operations meeting are under control and done before the due date;
Escalate and keep informed the hierarchy about the issues;
Ensure that the company rules are applied.

Your profile:

You have at least 10 years of experience in customs management and you are familiar with current and specific customs software;
You demonstrate good communication skills, good practical sense and a sense of initiative while anticipating and taking part in the context of continuous improvement;
You have a good team spirit and are open and adaptable;
You speak fluently Dutch and are almost fluent in English;
You have a good knowledge of IT tools (Office + ERP).

Our wishes:

You have at least a basic knowledge of French;
You have experience in people management;
You have experience in audit.
