- Maintain and develop relationships with principals and key accounts in order to retain existing business and gain new business
- Act as technical support for the commercial teams and prepare the necessary arguments for the commercialization of the products
- Cascade the information obtained from principals to the commercial teams and initiate new projects
- Optimize purchase prices by negotiation with principals
- Monitor, report and act on market and competitor activities in order to ensure that product strategies reflect current market activity
- Monitor principal targets and define corrective actions
- Responsible for reporting to principals
- You have a degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Engineering, or relevant experience in the Chemical Industry
- You have a technical background and experience in Product Management (or the potential to become an excellent Product Manager)
- You have excellent commercial skills to assist the commercial team with creating and finalizing business opportunities
- You have excellent negotiation and communication skills, both spoken and written, in Dutch, French and English. You are focused on building long term relationships with the Azelis-principals and clients
- You have a structured and accurate way of working. You are able to manage a portfolio of various projects at the same time
- You have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- You are a team player but with the ability to work independently

For Azelis Benelux, located in Merelbeke (Gent) , we are looking for a Product Portfolio Manager to manage the product and customer portfolio within the Industrial Chemicals segment (including coatings, adhesives, rubber and plastic additives, lubricants, performance chemicals).
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Product Manager, you will focus on the management of principals and suppliers and act as a technical expert of the product portfolio of your principals. Furthermore, you will support the commercial team with their key account management and assist them with developing business opportunities.
