Senior Project Buyer - Brussels, België - ENGIE
Beschrijving
As part of the Procurement department of the Europe Regional HUB organization, the Senior Project Buyer will report directly to the Head of Projects and will be in charge of the procurement activities for large scale projects that will be steered at European level.
He/She:
- Generates and captures value by defining the best projects' procurement strategy, translating project targets into procurement targets.
- Negotiates the best terms & conditions that mitigate the project's risks and ensures the availability of products and services that meet the needs of the project, in line with targets
- Leads the selection and qualification process of the suppliers to ensure the quality of the services provided by suppliers and to minimize short
- Contributes in maintaining/building up a strong partnership with business to ensure early involvement in all (development) projects
He/She will report on a project base to the project managers, and on all others matters to Head of Projects
Main responsibilities and activities:
Drawing up and implementing project Procurement strategies and tactics
- Helps project teams to express their needs in order to draw up the list of project requirements
- Ensures risk assessments are conducted and implements corrective action plans where needed
- Helps define the project's Procurement strategy or tactics based on its technical requirements, translating project targets into Procurement targets
- Implements the Procurement strategy or tactics established for the project
- Organises calls for tender and selects/qualifies providers and suppliers who meet the project requirements and the Procurement strategy, working with the project teams
- Negotiates with suppliers and decides on the contractual terms with the legal department
- Implements a system for the ongoing assessment of suppliers and subcontractors in order to guarantee the level of performance and quality of deliverables
- Maintains good relationships with suppliers in order to obtain the best contractual conditions possible
- Is involved upfront (Business Development phase) to get suppliers' best offers and increase ENGIE competitivity
- Makes savings and increases performance by identifying ways to improve the quality of services
- Adds competitive advantages to the Procurement side of a project and thereby helps optimize the Entity's commercial offers
- Provides reliable and comprehensive reporting in order to help the steering of Procurement activities and the business
- Obtains and distributes feedback
- Obtains supplier intelligence
- Optimises the panel of potential suppliers
- Identifies any changes in technologies, competitors or the economy that could affect the progress of a project, throughout its duration
Essential experiences and skills:
- Experience in procurement (EPC contracting, contracts management, negotiation, internal controls)
- Experience in project management
- Multitasking and organizational skills, with ability to prioritize objectives and tasks
- Ability to incorporate short
