Equans is looking for a
Division Manager - Industry North. You will be active in Antwerp (Aartselaar/Zwijndrecht), with regular travel in Belgium.


Your role


In the context of the BU strategy and within the set framework for the specific division: plan, organize, lead, coordinate and control all projects and related business activities of the division concerned, in order to reach the targeted objectives from a commercial, customer relationship, project implementation, financial turnover, budget, costs, profit and resources management point of view.


The job in details:

- commercial & business development: stimulate and encourage the development of solutions, services & markets. Steer the consultative sales process and lead key negotiations
- business supervision: define, follow-up and achieve the commercial, servicing and development targets. Supervise and adapt the agreed actions in order to achieve the divisional strategic plan
- interaction on customer and own claim management
- profitability optimization: maximize business performance, drive growth
- overlook staffing needs in function of project workload and productivity
- team leadership: lead, coordinate and ensure cohesion between the teams of all reporting departments (Line Management)
- cooperation in matrix management with Finance, IT, HR, Dispatching, Contract Management, Logistics,

- driving P&L:

- set annual budget and reporting for the division
- defining and delivering robust business plans, and deliver on promises
- manage and steer MT team division (operational and commercial)

- development of offering:

- translate Equans' strategic plan into a customer strategic plan for own division, identify platform to push innovative and advanced solutions and manage Equans' services performance at client level (within division)

- manage resources:

- optimize deployment and organization of operational teams towards (new) needs of the division, and the workload
- build joint team and identity at the level of the division, raising employee morale and motivation
- manage and steer competency centers to serve other divisions

- cooperation:

- contribute to Equans' strategic plan and generate transversal synergy
- optimize resource allocation at the level of the division

- safety:

- strong personal involvement in HSS
- foster and encourage safety awareness display and visibility in the field

- internal interfaces:


  • Equans Belux management team
  • Equans operational entities and support functions
  • Equans Group
- social relations, unions
- collaboration with other divisions

- external interfaces:

- partners, stakeholders and authorities

  • B2B and Energy Services' major customers within the BU

- take care and anticipate market trends and requirements, e.g. in digitalization, by connecting people, making knowledge derived from data available and creating new solutions for customers

- detect and develop talent and expertise, ensure talent retention
- carry and manage the change as the organization transitions towards the new model
- build up the team and identity, integrating teams with different skillsets, backgrounds and feelings of belonging

What do you need?
- master degree/+10 years' experience in technical, commercial & management activities related to energy services businesses and industrial infrastructure

  • 10 years of general professional experience and experience on relevant management level
- change management experience
- solid track record in improving safety standards
- basic P&L leadership experience
- project management experience
- sound knowledge of energy services business
- established leadership competencies, interpersonal communication and change management skills, effective animating/delegating/controlling, and creating an interactive team spirit
- build and maintain customer centric teams of strong performers
- need to convince, motivate and negotiate by influencing others
- see solutions rather than problems, bring minds together for pragmatic execution
