- Conducting different types of chemical and physicochemical testing (including ICP-OES, HPLC, UV, IR,) on polymer materials related to quality control studies or R&D studies.
- Interpreting experimental data and presenting conclusions to supervisor.
- Reviewing the data generated by other analyst of the team.
- Updating/Developing existing analytical method in order to be compliant with the latest requirements from authorities.
- Participating in the revision of the procedures.
- Communicating with customers for shared understanding of analysis needs, expectations and interpretation of results.
- Reporting any issues within area of work (out of trend, out of specification results, equipment issue or conflict in activities ), proposing solutions and participating in investigations.
- Maintaining laboratory reagents, materials and equipment in good operating order.
- Adhering to general and specific environmental, health and safety (EHS) guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in chemistry with a minimum of 2 years of work experience OR a Master degree in a chemistry with a minimum of 1 year of work experience or PhD in analytical chemistry.
- Significant knowledge in regards to GMP regulations.
- Possesses great communication skills in English and French.
- Significant knowledge in HPLC-UV or ICP-OES.
- Be able to understand the full scope of the project and plan their work according to the needs of the project.
- Be able to work in a team environment and demonstrate an inclusion attitude.
- Demonstrates flexibility and ability to shift gears between projects comfortably.
- Good resolution mind, being able to resolve basic to advanced troubleshooting issue.
