The Senior Engineering Manager will lead all aspects of day-to-day engineering for all EMEA EMEA MedTech/Vision Distribution Centers, incl. process design, maintenance and asset management strategies, order fulfillment equipment and repack/relabel equipment, Warehouse Control/Execution Systems.

This role will also orchestrate all EMEA Warehouse innovation initiatives spanning from robotics, automation, IA and AI as well as funnels learnings from/to other distribution centers and manufacturing sites across JnJ network.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Direct, supervise and facilitate all Engineering activities to drive strategic plans, reliability and efficiencies of all MedTech sites
Partner regionally and globally with key stakeholders to chair engineering projects, piloting new ideas, fail fast and scale up the successful ones
Lead Operation teams through the designing and conceptualizing of new networks, site improvements and automation opportunities
Chair the EMEA Digital Deliver Logistic Council to establish strategies, governance processes, policies, platforms, content and analytics for the Logistics of the future
Strengthen external relationships to ensure latest Digital technologies remain in focus for the business and act as primary point of contact to import innovative external solutions
Coordinate and set up activities re. engineering Capital Management, machine safety and Asset management
Lead, coach and develop the diverse team, spread across EMEA, reporting into this role

Qualifications:

Essential Knowledge And Skills

Qualifications

Degree in Engineering or Technical discipline, Advanced degree advantageous
Minimum 10 years previous experience required
Fluency in English, an intermediate level of French highly desiderable
Distribution process and automation experience highly preferred
Project Management experience; control of information flows, manage/control budgets and followup planning. Knowledge of FPX methodology is an asset
Experience in building best practices, Operations efficiency
Strong people management and communications skills
Working knowledge and experience of implementation of Industry 4.0 solutions
