For our location in Leuven, we are looking for an energetic and proactive person that strengthens and supports the HR Services team in Belgium and The Netherlands.


Although the main focus of your responsibilities will be payroll, you will also manage other tasks related to the full employee lifecycle and assist in data analytics and reporting.


As HR Payroll Officer, you will have following key accountabilities:

  • You perform day-to-day payroll activities for Belgium and the Netherlands. In case you are only familiar with one of the legislations, we will provide sufficient training for the other.
  • You review and approve payroll results provided by the external payroll partner, escalating issues when needed.
  • You ensure postpayroll activities are followed, including routing documents and reports to the Finance team or others.
  • You document and maintain detailed work instructions for the purpose of payroll continuity.
  • You take an active role in the optimization of processes and procedures if needed.
  • You communicate and handle the administration with local authorities and external providers in labor related topics.
  • You handle administrative tasks related to the full employee lifecycle ( joiners and leavers, promotions, absences,..)
  • You act as a point of contact for local management and employees who have questions regarding operational HR processes and guidelines.

Now that we've introduced you to the position as HR Officer, what skills, qualifications and experience should you have?

  • You have previous experience with payroll.
  • You have good knowledge of labor regulations.
  • You have an eye for detail, and you are a critical thinker.
  • You are a master in MS Office. Particularly, Excel holds no secrets to you.
  • You have the ability to work within a matrix organization, supporting wider HR initiatives and collaborating with HR colleagues globally.
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English.
