Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the development team to analyze, design, and implement COBOLbased solutions that meet business requirements.
Troubleshoot and debug issues in COBOL programs, providing timely resolutions to maintain system integrity.
Develop and execute unit tests to validate the accuracy and robustness of COBOL code.
Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and adherence to best practices.
Stay uptodate with industry trends and advancements in COBOL development and share knowledge with the team.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, including business analysts and QA, to ensure successful project delivery.
Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical guidance and support.
Document code changes, processes, and procedures for future reference and knowledge sharing.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a COBOL Developer, with a solid understanding of COBOL programming language and its associated technologies.
Strong knowledge of mainframe environments and relevant tools.
Experience in maintaining and enhancing legacy COBOL systems.
Proficiency in debugging and troubleshooting COBOL code.
Familiarity with database concepts and SQL for data retrieval and manipulation.
Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to analyze complex business requirements.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced, deadlinedriven environment.
Knowledge of modernization techniques and strategies for legacy systems is a plus.
