Context of Need

His offering to enterprises, States and public bodies comes in the form of services and associated equipment for the energy, defense, industry, environment, transport and infrastructure sectors.

In a context where more and more private and public actors are looking to reduce their carbon footprint, while also managing their energy costs, IRS (Integrated Renewable Solutions) designs, offers and executes turnkey solutions, combining a range of technologies (PV, battery storage, EV, cogeneration, H2 etc.) to deliver the most efficient solutions from economic and environmental standpoint.

IRS targets mostly private C&I clients. We can also include financing solutions if required by the client.

Closely related with project development and execution, we perform R&D activities to test new business cases, optimize design, and implement our in-house developed "Energy Management System", controlling production assets and storage in an intelligent and optimized way.

MiRIS is our pilot microgrid facility we built in 2018 on our HQ in Seraing.

It is a key development and R&D asset for IRS:
it combines 2MWp PV, 4MWh battery storage (Li-Ion, NaS, redox flow), gensets, load banks, EV chargers. We can operate MiRIS in on-grid & off-grid configurations.

We target projects in EU, Middle East and Africa in the range 1-15MW

multiple battery projects (Li-Ion-RFB-NaS, in Belgium and Africa), integrated microgrids in Africa (Djibouti, Tchad), a biogas cogeneration project for an agro-industrial client in Belgium, a green charging hub project in Belgium to charge 40 e-trucks, a microgrid for an industrial client close to LiègeThese projects all help the clients to decarbonize their activities and reduce their energy cost.

To support its Business Line IRS, John Cockerill is looking for a
Quality Process Manager. The position is based In Liège (Belgium).

Mission scope

The Quality Process Manager implements an integrated management system (Quality, Health and Safety, Environment) to ensure compliance with applicable laws, JC group standards, sector certifications for all IRS activities as well as customer requirements (for projects and services) and stakeholder satisfaction.

Responsibilities

QUALITY PROCESS

Help to organize IRS processes throughout the value chain (BD/Sales
Proposal execution
O&M
R&D) in close collaboration with the team managers.
Ensure the compliance of project execution and certifications required, aligned with IRS process.
Ensure the Quality of services, products, projects (development, customer), and check the consistency with internal standards, contract requirements, norms used and the applicable regulations

INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Drive and adapt the Business' Integrated Management System (ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001 etc) to integrate updates to standards and organization to ensure compliance with Group standards, certification and procedures
Manage the entity's certification processes (audits, Business Review, Management review)
Maintain and promote IRS Knowledge Management process
Ensure the implementation, measurement, monitoring and improvement of the KPIs defined for each of the processes
In collaboration with the Team, define and follow continuous improvement actions

HEALTH, SAFETY and ENVIRONMENT

Organize safety process, procedures, and monitoring on both external and internal projects (such as MiRIS), in collaboration with JC Group HSE and clients.
Perform global HSE monitoring (KPI, audits, reporting) for IRS, aligned with JC Group HSE team
Deploy the occupational safety and health management system (include risk analysis at workstations, significant environmental analysis, HSE onboarding, HSE training )

Profile

A Master's degree
Minimum 3 years' experience in Quality Management (ISO9001 ) in an industrial project environment
An experience in Health Safety & Environment is a strong asset
A proven experience in electrical systems (design, execution, operations & maintenance) is a strong asset
Good knowledge of French and English
