Senior BMC Remedy / Helix ITSM Developers


Skills, knowledge, experience required:


  • A minimum of 3 years recent experience in BMC Remedy ITSM Suite development (version 9.1 and higher);
  • Extensive experience in:
  • Installing BMC Remedy ITSM Suite (9.1 and higher) in both single and multitenancy, and in a highly available and resilient designs;
  • Configuring and customising the Remedy ITSM suite to align to an organisation's business processes based on the below ITIL processes (at a minimum):
  • Incident Management;
  • Problem Management;
  • Request Fulfilment;
  • Change Management;
  • Release & Deployment Management;
  • Service Asset and Configuration Management;
  • Strong experience in gathering, preparing, and loading foundation data into Remedy ITSM;
  • Experience in:
  • Configuring Approval Centre and approval chains;
  • Deploying and configuring/customising Remedy with Smart IT;
  • Deploying and configuring/customising Digital Workplace Advanced;
  • Building custom reports in Remedy Smart Reporting;
  • Building Remedy ITSM on Microsoft technologies (Windows server 2016 and MS SQL Server 2016 and above versions);
  • Extensive knowledge and experience installing and configuring Remedy Atrium CMDB;
  • Knowledge and experience in:
  • Integrating various data sources (such as MS SCCM) with Remedy Atrium CMDB;
  • Configuring CMDB reconciliation and normalisation jobs, and optimising performance of such jobs;
  • Understanding of infrastructure solutions hosting Service Management tools and technology, including understanding of market leading database solutions (including but not limited to MS SQL and Oracle), hypervisor solutions, storage solutions and load balancing solutions;
  • Proficiency in the English language (listening, speaking, reading and writing).

Desirable:


  • Experience in integrating BMC TrueSight Operations Management (version 10.x and higher);
  • Experience with BMC Discovery (version 11.x and higher);
  • Certifications:
  • BMC Certified Professional qualification;
  • ITIL 2011 Foundation certificate.

Duties/role:


  • Implementing BMC Remedy Single Sign-On (SSO);
  • Reviewing and providing feedback of Purchaserdelivered architecture and high level design;
  • Developing detailed design documentation;
  • Preparing Purchaserprovided hosting infrastructure for installation;
  • Implementing BMC Remedy Helix / ITSM Suite (on multiple environments);
  • Reviewing and providing feedback of Purchaserdelivered architecture and high level design;
  • Carrying out any activity related to the preparation of the relevant toolset installations, configuration/customisation and interfaces on the Purchaserfurnished equipment (PFE);
  • Customising as per requirements and approved design documentation adhoc;
  • Preparing various integrations as per requirements and approved design documentation (including with other BMC products and external products);
  • Integrating as per requirements and approved design documentation (including with other BMC products and external products);
  • Building and configuring complex service offerings in the Catalog, as per requirements;
  • Building custom reports as per requirements;
  • Implementing BMC Discovery (on multiple environments);
  • Configuring and settingup as per requirements and approved design documentation;
  • Implementing:
  • Definitive Media Library (DML);
  • Application Store (App Store);
  • Single Pane of Glass (SPoG);
  • Launch Pad for SMC tools;
  • Providing unit testing of any installation, configuration/customisation and interfaces performed;
  • Supporting the preparation of any testing related documentation (test plans, test cases, test reports, and so on) as required.
BMC Discovery Subject Matter Expert (SME)


Skills, knowledge, experience required:


  • A minimum of 3 years recent experience in large scale BMC Discovery (version 11.x and higher) deployments;
  • Extensive experience in:
  • Installing BMC Discovery (version 11.x and higher) in both single and multitenancy, and in highly available and resilient designs;
  • Configuring BMC Discovery to integrate with Remedy ITSM CMDB (version 9.1 and higher);
  • Strong experience in gathering, preparing, and configuring target networks and specialist segments for discovery;
  • Experience in:
  • Integrating BMC Discovery with TrueSight Orchestration (TSO) and configuring automated and targeted discovery executions triggered by TSO;
  • Integrating BMC Discovery with external vendor infrastructure systems for the purpose of detecting changes and triggering discovery executions to keep CMDB data fresh;
  • Working with Linux and Windows servers;
  • Knowledge and experience troubleshooting the integration with Remedy Atrium CMDB;
  • Extensive knowledge and experience configuring BMC Discovery to perform deep discovery on a variety of different network node types, and computing endpoints with, and especial
