Nature and scope of Project Management Office (PMO)

Support the performance and secure risks on projects (presales & execution) according to Project Classification throughout the value chain.
Develop, share and promote comprehensive processes, methods, and tools into common Integrated Management System.
Support the entities to achieve their operational objectives
Continuously improve operational efficiency of the business
Develop in line with other businesses of the Group, skills referential of PMO disciplines and develop associated training.
Team of 15 FTE dedicated to business of John Cockerill Industry & JC Environment.
PMO team supports worldwide activities, 14 entities and projects from 2 to 200 M€
Manage the activities of PMO during the Execution of the Projects from award to the closing with collection of all payments.

Key Responsibilities

As owner of the process "R
Manage Project Execution" of the IMS, update, promote and monitor, the governance, the methodology and tools in accordance with PMI standards, Essentials of the Group, best practices and refined based on Projects Classification.
Define and implement the most appropriate steering and coordination of the activities with all local entities.
Using the dedicated workload tool, and in coordination with entities/ Business Lines, monitor and pilot the workload of the functions.
Within PM population, develop talents, support their career development, advise during appraisal.
Implement a clear set of rules for scope changes between entities. If a dispute should arise, PMO
Head of Project Management will support the involved entities/ Business Lines for a fair resolution.
Develop and maintain a network of outsourced resources who can support, advise or join John Cockerill business.
Represent the discipline within the Group and promote it outside.
When required, support local representatives, coach project teams, manage scope change, supervise budget review, participate to negotiations with clients and partners.
Work in close connection and share the information with all members of PMO/SERM to achieve the objectives of the department.

Profile

Min of 10 years' professional experience in Project Management roles in an international and industrial context (having successfully closed several transactions)
Proven experience in Project Methodology
Network of experts in Project Management and associated disciplines
Team management experience
Excellent interpersonal skills, customer oriented, team player, business acumen, autonomous and driven
Fluent in English and French. Other languages are "plus"
Ability to travel on regular basis.
