RESPONSIBILITIES

As Head of Facility Management, you will be responsibe for the cost efficient use and continued availability of quality services and infrastructures, in full compliance with regulatory and company safety standards.

Your responsibility covers the services and infrastructure on 5 different locations that are part of the Innovation Center Gent.

These are your main tasks:

You elaborate the Facility Management Strategy for both infrastructure and services in alignment with the company's business goals and projected growth and translate the strategy into goals and workflows.
You determine the Facility Management when it comes to mid & long term planning.
This includes taking into consideration demands and available resources, as well as propositions concerning the annual budget and monitors implementation, Capex budget and inventory.
Furthermore, you manage the Facility Management Teams in Astene & Zwijnaarde by optimizing workflows as well as the use and development of team competencies. You achieve maximum synergies between the different sites.
You promote an excellent communication flow within the department and with internal customers.
You elaborate and maintain a Facility Management Catalogue and determine priorities and improvement actions.
You create surveys on customer satisfaction in order to optimize the service quality.
You supervise the management of all third party contracts related to site facilities and services.
You act as Chairman of CPBW
You collaborate with the QHSE Manager and the Environmental Coordinator, as well as the IT and Communications department to ensure full compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS

You obtained a Master Degree (Industrial, Civil or Bio Engineer) with a minimum of 15 years experience in a leadership role within Utility and/or Facility Management
You have a strong background in a complex, high tech (lab) environment e.g. hospital, lab or pharmaceutical Industry.
You have excellent leadership skills, proven ability to manage and inspire teams, and you show unifying Leadership.
You are a strategic thinker with a clear vision.
You are customer oriented and experienced with setting up and implementing SLA's.
You demonstrate planning and project management skills.
You are able to take decisions and you can handle resistance and setback.
From the financial angle, you have experience with using budgets (incl capex).
Knowledge of or experience with social dialogue is a plus.
You are fluent in Dutch and English.
