UCB France is seeking to develop its biopharmaceutical division in Belgium and therefore is seeking to strengthen local skills through VIE (Volontariat International en Entreprise) resources.

Scope of the job_**The position will strengthen the Pathology team at UCB. Within this team, the "VIE Histology Scientist" will be involved in the development of the HistoPathology techniques.

For this, he/she will participate in all stages of the histopathological techniques process:

tissue collection (rodent species), tissue resection, paraffin, or freezing embedding, microtomy, staining (histochemical, immunohistochemical, hybridization, or a combination of these).

Depending on the profile of the volunteer, he/she will contribute to the team in place to develop digital pathology tools, from the digitization of slides to the development of image analysis tools.

The mission will take place in Belgium (Braine-l'Alleud).

Who are you?

Bachelor, Master, or Ph.

D. in biological science

Previous experience in histology techniques is plus
Motivated, flexible, and fast learner
Team player with good organizational and administration skills
Professional communication in English is a must, both in writing and verbal

The Conditions for Undertaking a V.I.E

To become an International Intern in a Company, you must fulfill the following conditions:
Be aged at least 18 but not yet 29: you must be 28 when you start your assignment, bearing in mind that a V.I.E. contract always starts on the 1st of the month.
Be French or a European citizen.
Be in good standing with regard to the national service obligations of your country(ies) (defense ID n°).
Have a clean criminal record.
Be able to devote yourself fulltime to your assignment: no parttime work, entrepreneurship, studies, or paid activity at the same time as your V.I.E.
Accept the letter of appointment that you sign with Business France which sets out your rights and your duties during your assignment.
