VECTURIS is looking for an
Environmental and Social Manager (ESM) (in Africa)

Your Role

Responsible for overseeing environmental & social performance and developing, implementing and monitoring environmental and social strategies that promote sustainable development and managing community compliance.

This includes the following tasks:

Providing the company's management with a consolidated strategic vision for environmental & social protection (risk management / benchmark positioning / business sustainability)
Steering and coordinating the environmental and social action plans
Ensure a general regulatory and technical watch, issue alerts associated with new requirements
Build a relationship of trust with stakeholders
Set up tools for monitoring indicators
Develop methods, tools and maps of the main risks and propose risk management strategies

Your profile

You have a degree in engineering specialising in HSE fields
You have at least 10 years' professional experience in the HSE field in an industrial environment, ideally in the rail sector
You have a good knowledge of international standards such as IFC
You have a good command of IT tools, in particular Excel and PowerPoint
You are willing to move to Africa
Fluency in English is mandatory
Fluency in Portuguese is a major asset
Experience in the railway sector, experience in Africa, knowledge of ERP are assets
Driving licence
