Room & Public Area Attendant is responsible for the servicing of all rooms during the day shift or the evening shift as well as ensuring that all vacant rooms are in good condition as per the standards of the hotel.

They will also carry out periodic deep cleaning and inventories, as well as help our in various other tasks related to rooms and corridors.

You'll also be responsible to maintain the cleanliness and organization of the hotel's public areas, including lobbies, hallways, and common spaces.

You will be responsible for ensuring that these areas are clean, tidy, and well-stocked with amenities such as towels, toiletries, and refreshments.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Keeps abreast of newest trends and innovations in the hospitality industry.
  • Takes a proactive approach to the cleaning and servicing of guest rooms & public areas activity of the Housekeeping Department, anticipating potential opportunities.
  • Maintains effective communication within the department and ensure that the Executive Housekeeper/Housekeping Supervisors are kept well informed of any problems/queries that have arisen.
  • Reports any problems/complaints to the Executive Housekeeper/Housekeeping Supervisors.
  • Is fully conversant with the Corinthia Employee Handbook.
  • Is responsible for the cleanliness of the public areas, guestrooms (according to the established procedures and hotel standard) and replenishment of supplies in guestrooms and ensures the comfort of all Hotel guests as established by Hotel procedures and standards. This includes crockery and glassware in the rooms.
  • Adheres to all house rules and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Signs in/out floor keys and pagers. Helps carry out inventories as per the Housekeeping schedule.
  • Ensures that the work areas, equipment and supplies are kept in a clean and orderly manner at all times and will report any maintenance defects directly to the concerned department.
  • Reports any valuable items found in check out rooms or left lying in the open to Housekeeping office and direct supervisor.
  • Knows all facilities in guestroom and checks them to ensure that all is functioning correctly. Reports any malfunctions immediately. Reports any guest's special requests/preferences to Floor Housekeeper so that guest history can be updated.
  • Carries out deep cleaning and mattress turning as require
  • Drives the Corinthia values and philosophy.
  • Works with the Housekeeping team to implement a progressive, professional and committed team environment that supports the department's strategic objectives.
  • Leads by example in setting positive relations with all hotel departments, ensuring issues are managed efficiently and appropriately to maintain the smooth running of the operation at all times.
  • Supports the philosophy of a" live and breathe quality" of all standards of the Hotel to the housekeeping team.

  • The wearing appropriate protective gear provided by the Company is mandatory.
  • To report any building, plant, or equipment defects promptly.
  • Immediately report any accidents to staff, guests, or visitors following correct procedures.
  • To attend statutory Fire, Health & Safety training and to be fully conversant with and abide by all rules concerning:
