We are looking for Sea Logistics Requirements Engineering & Systems Support Expert to join our team in Antwerp, Belgium.

Your Role :The Sea Logistics Requirements Engineering & Systems Support Expert is responsible to ensure that the required functionalities of the operational Sea Logistics software in the country are set up and available in order to ensure that the operational production process runs smoothly and efficiently. Furthermore, the responsible person needs to provide National Management with up-to-date operating system knowledge and methodology, to ensure system support can be given to all users in the country.

Following the system responsibility, this position has two further aspects to work on:
processes and training.

As systems and processes are closely linked, the work on process improvements in the country is part of this role.

Additionally, the best usage of the system in the country requires training of operational staff, too.

Your Responsibilities:

Ensuring the availability of the functionalities, which enable the optimal use of the operating system within the operational process. This includes maintaining local setups (e. g. documents, exchange rates, VAT rules) and local master data;
Implementing, approving, and testing software releases, within the country, according to the standards and timescales determined at the regional level;
Working with the Regional Superusers to ensure that the setup and configuration of operational software in the country conforms to Corporate and Regional Standards, and is configured for optimal use in the country;
Representing the country, in conjunction with the Regional Sea Logistics Systems team, in the continuous development of the Corporate Sea Logistics operational software;
Acting as an information conduit between the country and the Regional Sea freight Systems team, for all other matters concerning system functionality;
Actively maintaining, in cooperation with the Regional Superusers, uptodate awareness of operational processes and translating these into functional requirements related to the software;
Direct support and training to users, whenever required;

Your Skills and Experiences:

Extensive background in Sea Logistics procedures;
Strong belief in and focus on process improvements including the direct impact on productivity and quality;
Ability to manage projects and to coordinate remotely the activities of other people;
Patient and pragmatic way of working and ability to think analytically and systematically;
Proactive and practical solution oriented working style;
Fluent communication skills in English, both verbally and written; German skills are considered an advantage
Strong affinity with required customer quality standards.
