Job Description:


The
CFO BESIX Construction will organize, steer and oversee all financial support activities throughout the construction activities of BESIX, worldwide.

This function will serve as a primary business and financial advisor to the COO Construction and operational committee.


The CFO BESIX Construction will also report to the Group CFO, ensuring that the construction activities operate within the corporate framework set for controlling, guarantees, cash management, etc.


Main objectives and responsibilities:


  • Staffing, appraisal and coaching the finance teams in construction in collaboration with the General Manager.
  • Ensuring proper financial support is given to all construction entities within scope.
  • Designing and implementing the required financial policies, in collaboration with the Group CFO.
  • Reporting on construction financial performance and budgeting.
  • Ensuring review of financial related matters during tender phase of construction projects.
  • Ensuring compliance with Group Rules on the financial processes within the regions.
  • Assist in the risk analysis for major tenders and operations in support of the decision making.
  • Be the animator of the finance teams in the different business units in scope, as well on competence and growth, as on the BESIX Culture.
  • Be a key enabler in the digitalization of the financial processes to improve on efficiency as much as on better decision making process.
In this role you will report directly to the COO BESIX Construction and the Group CFO.


Qualifications:


  • University degree in Business Administration or equivalent; any additional degree is a plus;
  • 10+ years of relevant and demonstrated experience in financial management, preferably in an international construction and/or project development multinational company;
  • A history of strong advisory relationship with COO or CEO and exposure to the board of directors or other governing bodies;
  • Fluent in Dutch or French, thorough knowledge of English; any other language is a plus;
  • Able and willing to combine a "business enabler" role with an outspoken intellectual independence, with a view to promote a sound and sustainable legal framework for BESIX Group's operations;
  • Outstanding analytical skills; rigorous, methodical;
  • Ability to see the big picture in a complex, international organization;
  • Able to make decisions or judgment calls even when working with ambiguous or conflicting data;
  • Strong communication skills;
  • Organizational talent; capacity to drive change by enthusing teams and aligning them on a shared purpose and objectives;
  • Team builder and player, driven by collective results rather than individual achievements;
  • Strong interpersonal skills; capacity to build networks and capitalize on them;
  • Capable of multitasking in a demanding and deadlinesdriven environment;
  • Able to maintain high levels of focused drive and energy, giving above what is required to get the job done takes personal accountability for success;
  • Eager and able to work in very different cultural environments, including in faroff locations;
