Your mission:

As an Operative Buyer, you will be joining our European Purchasing department, located between Belgium and Germany, and participate in all its activities:

Further development of the purchasing department and its processes
Ensuring that materials are procured on time (production, commercial and plant materials)
Operational purchasing activities from requesting quotations, order confirmation to continuous master data maintenance and inventory control
Proactive, strategic supplier management with full responsibility for identifying and negotiating new or current suppliers, conditions and framework agreements
Development of cost savings, identification and negotiation
Coordination and support of purchasing projects
Close cooperation with all specialist departments, in particular production planning and sales, quality and warehouse logistics

Your profile:

You have 5 years' experience in a Buyer/Purchasing position, preferably in an industry
You are fluent in English, the ability to use German in a professional way can be an asset. Any additional European language is an asset
High level of communication skills, negotiating skills, ability to work under pressure
You know how to be assertive and are goal oriented
You have a handson mentality and are confident handling of ERP systems and MS Office products
You have experience in operational material planning
