Back-end developer (BED) for our prestigious partner DIGIT TM (DG Informatics)
in Brussels. DIGIT-TM is a contract from the European Commission for IT services across Europe.

Main Responsibilities
As
Back-end developer (BED) you will be responsible for:

Integration of user-facing elements developed by a front-end developer with server-side logic.
Implement core business logic.
Creation of servers and databases for functionality.
Design and implementation of data storage solutions.
Understanding and implementation of security and data protection.
Design and develop APIs.
Participating in the design and creation of scalable software.
Taking lead on projects, as needed.
Maintenance of code integrity and organisation.
Writing clean, functional code on the back end.
Compile and analyse data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement.
Testing and fixing bugs or other coding issues
Meet both technical and consumer needs.
Write technical documentation.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Following knowledge are required for the performance of the above listed tasks:

Proficiency with back-end languages and frameworks such as Java, PHP, Spring boot and hibernate.
Strong understanding of the web development cycle and programming techniques and tools.
Familiarity with database technology such as Oracle, MongoDB.
Knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git or SVN.
Following skills are required for the performance of the above listed tasks:_
Autonomous.
Strong organisational and timemanagement skills.
Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid selfstarting capability and experience in working in team.
Ability to participate in multilingual meetings.
Ability to work in multicultural environment, on multiple large projects.
Excellent Team Player
Ability to understand, speak and write English at level B
Ability to understand, speak and write French at level B1 is an advantage

Following certificates & standards are required for the performance of tasks:_
Proficiency with backend languages and frameworks such as Java, PHP, Spring boot and Hibernate
