INTRODUCTIE:


  • We are currently looking for a procurement Manager.

ORGANISATIE:


With the introduction of the sustainability strategy "Go For Zero" and the business strategy our client has clear and challenging ambitions for the future.

These come with new and bigger challenges for P&T as well.

Scale and speed of growth, and the complexity (e.g., set-up with joint ventures) will ask for strong performance with global impact on logistic activities (including required tools) for which design and implementation are considered under responsibility of the Procurement Manager.

Not only is our client changing at a unseen scale and speed, so is the world. The world is becoming increasingly complex and uncertain.

  • In the next years our clients will achieve a significant growth (especially in the field of battery materials and battery recycling), which results in an increasing complexity of processes and related global logistics between own sites and to and from suppliers/customers. It is essential for our client that the Project Manager Transportation is guaranteeing the setup of efficient, fast & reliable global logistics in an increasingly complex world.

FUNCTIE:


  • Understanding Business requirements and needs of all stakeholders and translate them in concrete actions.
  • Manage time effectively, plan and prioritize in order to achieve the goals
  • Lead the change management process. Use ethical persuasion to convince all stakeholders and to remove the barriers to change
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identify and resolve issues as they arise. Identify leadtime constraints, and take corrective action to remedy any issues with project delivery. Ensure risk mitigation.
  • Manage procurement activities for logistics providers, negotiate contracts and rates with vendors and service providers
  • Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure that tasks are completed on time and within budget
  • Manage the daytoday operations of a project
  • Perform quality assurance checks on all logisticsrelated activities
  • Actively participate in the strategic sourcing activities for the Contractors subcategory, with the goal of achieving cost reductions, while maintaining or improving service quality or vendor service levels;
  • Participate in project procurement/ management meetings;
  • Prepare and propose the procurement strategy and implement the decisions;
  • Carry out sourcing activities for Service contracts for maintenance & operations;
  • Identify, evaluate & select suppliers, negotiate and close frameworkagreements of Global & EU region services under the Contractors subcategory;
  • Perform bestinclass negotiation processes via analysis of supply & demand trends;
  • Establish and manage global/regional relationships with suppliers;
  • Monitor performances of vendors and their compliance with their commitments.
  • Address & solve operational issues with suppliers/ Support contract management activities
  • Secondary Tasks and responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance and standards are adhered to collaborate
  • Act as a first point of contact for vendor and procurement escalations from business stakeholders and accounting operations
  • Lead commercial processes and is part of the business project team
  • Deal with suppliers on regional Clevel independently
  • Be responsible for nonstandard contracts for diverse sets of operating and commercial models.
  • Establish and maintain procurement best practices and shares with peers
  • Ensure that daily procurement operations are operating optimally and in a compliant manner function as a backfill for the Procurement Manager when needed

FUNCTIE-EISEN:


  • Master degree (economics, sciences,) required with a focus in logistics, supply chain, compliance and/or transportation preferred.
  • 8+ years of working as a Procurement Manager
  • Proven project management experience is required
  • Proven experience in directing and strengthening logistic processes and procedures
  • Experience working for a large, diverse multinational is preferred.
  • Experience working in at least an international environment is required;
  • Indepth knowledge of procurement
  • Fluent in English, other languages are a plus
  • Excellent Microsoft office skills (PowerPoint, Excel,)
