POLITICO is seeking an organized and detail-oriented newsroom coordinator to support our journalists in Brussels.

This role provides a high level of support to the Managing Editor across operational tasks to ensure the smooth running of the newsroom.

This person will play a central role in handling day-to-day administration, helping to ensure our newsroom adheres to standards of operational excellence that allow us to produce world-class journalism and build a sustainable business.

This is a full-time role working in our newsroom in Brussels

What You'll Do

Execute on travel and logístical planning for major coverage events where POLITICO wants to send journalists;
Support our journalists by handling media accreditations and assisting with admin queries;
Organize and communicate onboarding programs for new journalists;
Support senior editors with staffing rotas and holiday planning;
Maintain subscriptions for newsroom tools and national and local media;
Organize and deliver external visits to the newsroom from highlevel guests;
Foster a positive working dynamic in the office and be a strong support for our journalists

What You'll Need

Excellent organizational and multitasking skills; consistent attention to detail
Be a selfstarter who is willing to spot and suggest ways to better support the newsroom, as well as to learn preexisting processes
High tolerance for ambiguity and the ability to work in a fastpaced environment with competing levels of urgency
A flexible and positive attitude, and the ability to anticipate future needs
Experience with Microsoft Suite products and expense systems such as Rydoo
