Duties:


  • Performs planning to support daily operations and the mission support across the 39th SSB Area of Operations (AOR). Reviews policy guidance for the Battalion S3 and recommends changes for OPORDS, taskers, and exercise plans.
  • The employee assists in identifying trends in operations for the planning, coordination, and evaluation of training, to include the development of the training programs to support garrison operations.
  • Oversees the transition to the implementation of continuity/emergency/disaster operations plans. Employee analyzes the situation, executes appropriate emergency response plans, initiates notification procedures.
  • Maintains situation awareness of ongoing operations and emergency response action, determines requirements, and develops the mission and analysis brief for the installation.
  • Participates in the development and execution of Memorandum of Instructions of mission activities to include ceremonies, programs and training events.
  • Coordinates, schedules and staffs necessary actions with other directorates and tenant units/ organizations.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain TOP SECRET eligibility with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
  • Must successfully pass urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter to AR 60085, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program.
  • The IT classification for this position is IT (I). Position is designated as Special Sensitive.
  • Position may be designated Emergency-Essential (E-E) in support of mobilization and wartime mission. Prior to appointment to the position, employee will sign a statement agreeing to the E-E condition of employment.
  • Employee must pass a medical examination and receive required immunizations for the overseas/deployed location.
  • Position required TDY travel of 75%.

US CitizensSpecialized Experience**: One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) Perform research and analysis of daily operations and training to identify trends and provide solutions; (2) Utilize automated software/ databases to prepare reports, spreadsheets, charts, and/or graphs; and (3) Resolve problems associated with current operations execution and/ or operational taskings.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

    Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform qualitative and quantitative techniques for analyzing and measuring effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of administrative and technical programs

    Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages

  • Direct Deposit of Pay is required.
  • U.S. citizens overseas under ordinarily resident status are not eligible for appointment under the Status of Forces Agreement.
  • This is a Career Program (CP) 29 position.
  • If an employee brings a child to an overseas location and that child is entitled to attend a DoD school on a spacerequired basis in accordance with DoDEA Regulation , the DoDEA and the Military Department responsible for providing related services will ensure that the child, if eligible for special education, receives a free appropriate public education, including related services pursuant to DoDI and DoDM
