Introduction:


As a Project Manager, you will lead projects utilizing our global Accelerated Product Development (APD) process to ensure products are commercially available and meet our customers' needs.


The Project Manager is responsible for planning, organizing and leading teams to achieve high levels of performance and quality on product development projects.

The Project Manager will be responsible for managing many programs simultaneously in a fast-paced, growth business.

This role is dedicated to projects for our Life Sciences - Vehicle Electrification and Medical Device group.

The internal title for this role is Sr Project Manager.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate product development projects to ensure smooth transition of programs from concept to production using effective project management methods.
  • Ensure all key activities and milestones are met for product development programs; allowing reliable, validated designs to be developed.
  • Serve as a crossfunctional project leader with sales, engineering, quality, purchasing, operations and marketing by holding teams accountable for their commitments, resolving issues and leveraging organizational resources.
  • Organize and lead internal activities including working meetings, program performance reporting, major milestones and action item tracking, program risk assessment, etc.
  • Develop relationships with other business units and corporate APD resources to benchmark processes and implement continuous improvements within the business.
  • Collaborate with team members to proactively assess potential risks to project objectives and timeline.
  • Promptly bring to attention any significant deviations to plan that are beyond his/her control and recommend corrective action.
  • Enlist assistance of corporate resources to keep projects on task.
  • Manage other projects upon request.
  • Work in a global environment impacting programs that span multiple regions.
  • Engage directly with external partners (including customers) to ensure clear communication on projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or technical field.
  • 5+ years of work experience in project management or leading crossfunctional teams.
  • Competencies needed: collaboration, global crossfunctional team leadership, influence without authority, processoriented, resultsdriven and organizational awareness.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical aptitude required.
  • Presentation skills and ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Ability to travel ~5%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP, or other program management certifications
  • MS Project skills and experience
