Context:

Degroof Petercam Asset Management (DPAM) is an independent active asset management firm and manages investment funds as well as discretionary mandates on behalf of institutional clients,.

DPAM has a strong focus on research with a proprietary in-house fundamental and quantitative analyst team, supporting the firm's asset management activities.

DPAM is looking for a Senior Compliance Officer. You will report directly to the DPAM Head of Compliance (Belgium and International).
As Senior Compliance officer you are familiar with the Asset Management environment and financial products.
In addition you have a strong interest in topics related to marketing of funds, commercial communication and regulatory disclosures.

Your Position:

Advise our teams with respect to Market Abuse Regulation (MAR) and MiFID Compliance in matters like rules of conduct, product governance, Inducements, personal transactions, Inside Information, etc.
In collaboration with the stakeholders within the company, provide support and develop effective compliance policies and methodology appropriate to the company and subsidiaries.
Participate to the Compliance Risk assessment, to the monitoring and reporting of compliance risks

- be involved in the investigation process related to incidents and take the appropriate actions to support the company.

Become the compliance specialist in regulatory requirement related to marketing of funds and associated communication.

- advise and participate in business as well strategic projects.

Help implement new regulatory requirements, specific financial services or new products form compliance analysis through implementation
Help organize and deliver training to keep the DPAM's staff informed of relevant compliance developments in your domain

Your Profile:

Master's degree in law or economics with focus on Funds Management
Minimum 5 years experience in an asset management company and 3 years as compliance related function.
Experience in relevant topics as funds management, communication and marketing is required.
Excellent communication skills in French or Dutch and English; oral as well as written,
Be able to show diplomacy and be assertive when necessary.
Ability to work independently, take initiative and be An analytical thinker with sound business acumen, objectivity and accountability who is able to work autonomously
The ability to translate complex theoretical principles into pragmatic advice
A team player and relationship builder with a sense of humor.
Experience with databases in general and financial markets tools (Bloomberg, Reuters, etc.) would be an asset
