Solvay Schools Alumni (SSA) is the leading business school alumni association in Belgium.

We serve over global alumni from the Solvay Schools of Economics and Management at the Université Libre de Bruxelles and the Vrije Universiteit Brussel.

SSA's mission is to


  • Help our alumni members thrive in their professional lives through networking events, career services, and other initiatives.
  • Support the Solvay academic institutions with financial and logístical support.
To support its transformation, SSA are looking for an Engagement and Community manager. The role is based in Brussels.

Tasks


As an engagement and community manager, your responsibility is to continuously improve the breadth and quality of services we provide to our members.

You will transpose the overall strategy into an actionable, ambitious but achievable action plan. And will then spearhead our efforts to turn those plans into a success

Your areas of responsibility include

External communication

  • Develop and execute a Communication Plan and Media Strategy, to mobilize the network
  • Get in touch with the Faculty and Solvay Lifelong Learning to align our communications
  • Draft marketing collateral (social posts, web pages, brochures, etc.) to inform on our activities and services
  • Maintain a reporting on the performance of our communications initiatives and take actions to improve them
Member engagement

  • Handle the website & CRM (creation of pages, content, database, flows of information)
  • Create inspiring content (storytelling, articles, testimonials, Alumni stories & interviews ) aimed at members for our website, newsletter, social media
  • Follow up on this content and make the debate alive, create reactions and deeper conversations
  • Ensure a media watch to get some news about our alumni, schools, etc in the press and on social media
Event management

  • Ensure SSA maintains a healthy, relevant, and diverse pipeline of events
  • Create inspiring content (storytelling, articles, testimonials, Alumni stories & interviews ) aimed at members for our website, newsletter, and social media
  • Create invitations and dedicated pages on website
  • Follow up on registrations and organizational aspects
  • Welcome guests
  • Report and learn from the events' successes for their continuous improvement

Requirements:


  • You hold at least a Bachelor degree in a related field, or you have acquired at least 2 years of relevant experience
  • You are fluent in English; Dutch or French is also a valuable asset.
  • You are proactive: you thrive in situations where you need to take initiative
  • You are reliable and meet your deadlines
  • You are passionate about digital strategy and all kinds of social media
Prior experience in campaign management or CRM is a plus

  • You are a strong communicator and an engaging collaborator
  • You are enthusiastic, proactive and energetic, you perform under pressure
  • You are wellorganized, mature and creative
  • You are flexible, for example, you are available in the evenings of our events and meetings
