CEC European Managers is seeking a dynamic, versatile, and skilled Communications Officer to join our team in Brussels.

CEC European Managers represents around one million managers in Europe through its national and sectoral federations.

Managers play a vital role in Europe, both in the companies they work for and as facilitators of dialogue in society:
it is about taking the right decisions to prepare a more sustainable and inclusive future.


At European level, CEC is one of the six EU cross-industry social organizations recognized by the European Commission as an official, go-to partner organization.

As the independent and autonomous voice of managers, CEC has been making sure that the interests of managers as bridge builders between employers and workers are heard - since 1951.


Responsibilities:


Social Media and Website Management:
Develop and implement social media strategies to enhance CEC's online presence.

Manage and update the organization's website with relevant content.


Content Creation:
Write articles and create compelling content that aligns with CEC's policy positioning.

Edit policy reports, consultations, and other policy documents.


Event Management:
Plan and execute events, ensuring seamless coordination and effective communication. Experience with moderation and facilitation is an asset.


Advocacy:


Keep track and follow up on EU policy developments, particularly those related to CEC's priority topics for our advocacy work.


Stakeholder Relationships:
Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, particularly at EU level, around CEC's strategic priorities. Engage in regular communication with external partners.


Membership services:
Facilitate effective communication with member organizations on policy issues. You will also help coordinate and facilitate policy working groups and follow-up on related advocacy work.

Essential qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, European Affairs, Political Sciences, or a related field
  • Proven experience in social media management, content creation, advocacy work and event coordination (13 years)
  • Autonomous working style and selfinitiative
  • Strong writing and editing skills in English and French with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with communication tools and programmes (Office Suite, Wordpress, social media etc.)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fastpaced environment

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with leadership topics and EU Affairs, particularly around employment, sustainability, gender equality and diversity, and/or digitalisation/AI policies
  • Being able to create visually appealing graphics and layouts for reports, social media, and other communication channels and video editing (e.g. Adobe Suite)
  • Research and surveying skills
  • Past experience working within a membershipbased and/or international organization
