Business Performance is part of the CFO Office and is responsible for the analyses of information reported under the various frameworks (e.g.

IFRS, S2, FCG) by the geographical area(s) assigned in order to support the different stakeholders in delivering action-oriented, forward looking and objective insights on business evolution and sources for value enhancement of Ageas, its segments and Operating Companies.


Your function:

To strengthen the team, we are looking for a Corporate Reporting Specialist.

This role will be responsible to maintain state of the art internal management reporting and external investor relations data reporting processes under IFRS.

Ensure data collection and validation in order to provide reliable and timely financial and management information to all stakeholders and comply with all financial related reporting requirements.


Your responsibilities include among others:

Reporting

  • Develop reports produced (Press Release tables, Internal Management Report, Monthly Flash Report, preparation of the annual Multi Year Budget Magnitude dataset);
  • Prepare proposals for presentation changes following new or adapted requirements;
  • Retrieve tables for various reports and data deliveries or extracts from PowerBI
  • Timely implement and test new disclosures, reporting and scopes in Magnitude and BI tool;
  • Support the group CFO, regional CFO's, Investor Relations, Business Performance by providing Management information;
  • Coordinate the relationship with stakeholders (Consolidation & Reporting, Reinsurance, General Account, Risk, Legal, local CFO's, IR, MIS/ABC etc);
  • Ensure quality of data generated, transformed and/or reported during the processes for which you are responsible (in compliance with the Group's Data Management Policy).

Analysis and optimization

  • Keep up to date with the latest developments of management reporting requirements, especially in the context of the new accounting standards under IFRS17/9;
  • Actively participate in developing and maintaining a framework for collecting management information in order to realize a correct, complete and timely delivery of management reports;
  • Participate in activities necessary to integrate acquired entities in Ageas' reporting systems (Magnitude, BI etc.) and support the entities by providing advice, guidelines, manuals and training;
  • Carefully examine external reporting documents for important developments and trends in numbers;
  • Provide input for change management of Magnitude/PowerBI;
  • Adjust text in reports to align with figure content as well as nonfigure developments (i.e. acquisitions, contingent liabilities, postbalance sheet events, etc.);
  • Proactively identify possibilities to improve either the format or the content of the management reporting and discuss these with stakeholders;
  • Be in charge of the continuous improvement of the reports produced and keep in constant contact with its end users in order to maximize the use;
  • Proactively advise the wider Group Finance community and other relevant parties about improvement and simplification possibilities;
  • Management reporting_
  • Support the transition from IFRS4/IAS39 towards IFRS17/9 accounting framework;
  • Develop tables and analytical review for management reporting in Power BI
  • Development_
  • Take part in project teams to change or create reports;
  • Check with colleagues the impact of a change in the process and systems of Group Finance;
  • Treat Adhoc issues/questions
  • Audit_
  • Act as point of contact for auditors on reporting and valuation issues (including ad hoc);
  • Attend meetings with auditors on content of (consolidated) financial statements and responsible for solving issues raised by auditors;

Your profile:


Technical competencies

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Finance or Business Administration
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products and Business Intelligence tools. Magnitude knowledge and/or Power BI are a plus.
  • Knowledge of Accounting, Reporting and Performance processes as well as of valuation & regulation. Knowledge about IFRS17/9 is a plus.
