As

Research Manager New Molecule Biotechnology, you are the expert in cutting-edge technologies for functional protein and enzyme discovery. You'll play a vital role in developing protein assay and purification methods, collaborating closely with our Bioinformatic department to identify and deliver innovative proteins for our exceptional products in bakery, patisserie & chocolate


Key Accountabilities

You establish and share strong knowledge and strategies for "New proteins Discovery"

  • You develop and validate new assay methods and protocols for protein purification, conducting biochemical analyses and generating comprehensive data reports.
  • You support patent writing for novel proteins and functionalities.

You support the Bioinformatic platform for In_Silico screening

  • You collaborate with our Bioinformatic platform, aligning with existing technologies for insilico screening, including software for searches, 3D enzyme structures, and expression prediction.
  • You stay abreast of novel approaches and technologies, continuously seeking opportunities to enhance our procedures and protocols.

3. You create innovation ecosystem and manage external collaboration projects

  • You proactively search for potential partners to screen new functional proteins/enzymes with specific functionalities.
  • You manage collaboration agreements, ensuring smooth coordination and organizing meetings with comprehensive reporting.
  • You contribute to business case preparation and validation, as well as Gate meeting preparation.
Additionally, you will contribute to the growth of future talents by identifying and managing student internships.

As part of the department's common tasks, you assist in "New Functional Protein Discovery" projects by analyzing and communicating data in cross-functional teams, participating in laboratory operations, and promoting the 5S method for a well-organized work environment.


Who are we looking for?

  • You have a Master degree with 3 years of experience, PhD or equivalent research experience in biochemistry, biotechnology or related fields.
  • You gained knowledge on
    insilico research (skilled in bioinformatics analysis)
  • You have technical and scientific expertise in physicalchemical, molecular biology and/or microbiological engineering is a plus.
  • You have great Project management and organizational skills, a Problem solving mindset and "can do" approach
  • You can work independently as well as part of a multifunctional study team
  • Good written and oral communication skills in English and French
