Scope of the function


Reporting hierarchically to the Group Procurement Director EMEA & APAC, the Procurement Project Manager (PPM) manages and coordinates all the procurement activities relevant to the Projects, ensuring the respect of budget, schedule and quality of the deliverables.

PPM acts as an interface to the other key functions (Sustainability, R&D, Engineering, Finance, Industrial Excellence, etc.), as representative of Procurement & Supply Chain.


This position oversees and manages the entire lifecycle of specific and/or sustainable Procurement projects across various categories, technologies, and sites.

PPM will be responsible for managing all activities related to step change projects which will ensure compliance with environmental regulations, secure material supply, drive competitive advantage, and contribute to a greener operation for Knauf Insulation.

Missions and responsibilities

  • Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders to build a robust strategy to meet the future business transformation and growth plans
  • Developing and implementing strategic Procurement initiatives based on data insights
  • On certain projects responsible for specific deliverables, e.g., running tenders, defining sourcing strategies, supplier and stakeholder engagement and negotiations.
  • Promotes cooperation and coordination between Procurement and other Functions to meet Project targets and deadlines.
  • Development and coordination of the procurement project management process including project planning, management of a risk register, the project schedule and budget model
  • In conjunction with key stakeholders, develops specific project procurement strategies, including project specific vendor selection (including scoring criteria), as well as the coordination and implementation of procurement contracts
  • Coordinating and tracking project timelines and deliverables
  • Project communication towards relevant stakeholders, including senior management
  • Measuring and reporting on supplier performance and lessons learned process.
  • Define and implement the Project Sourcing Strategy in full respect of QCD commitments
  • Lead material supply security and cost improvement plans

Your profile

Qualifications and experience required
-
Master degree in Economics, Business Administration or Engineering

  • Ideally
    8+ years of experience as management consultant or procurement project manager in a
    multinational environment

Hard Skills

  • Strong experience in
    project management:

  • English: Negotiation level (German would be a plus)
  • Proven track record
    supplier performance management:
  • High
    MS Office knowledge (Excel/PowerPoint mainly)

Soft Skills

  • Strong in communication,
    able to influence and manage relationship with stakeholders
  • High level of motivation to
    lead complex projects:
  • Strong
    analytic skills and ability to understand and structure large datasets
