Company Description

Beyers Koffie, with roots going back to 1880, produces and distributes a wide assortment of coffee products (coffee, espresso, pads, capsules, machines, etc.) under private label as well as under the brands Beyers, Fort and Kimbo.

Beyers has grown exponentially over the past two decades.

Its acquisition of Fort coffee (Belgium) and EP Leidsche (the Netherlands) in 2004 and the opening of Beyers GmbH (Germany) in 2016 allowed the company to strengthen its position on both the Belgian and Northern European retail and out-of-home market, especially as a private label manufacturer.

At the start of 2012, Beyers installed a state-of-the-art coffee roaster, which allows for the development of new products and further reductions in energy consumption.

The investments accord perfectly with the company's commitment to quality and sustainability.

In addition, Beyers calculated its organizational carbon footprint and offers coffee products which are produced climate neutral over the entire value chain, from the plantation to the clients' warehouse.

As
Sustainability Officer you will be responsible for defining & driving the sustainability roadmap and collaborate throughout the organization together with Sucafina.

You will partner with a broad set of internal teams including sales, marcom, finance, procurement, R&D, Quality etcwith as goal to embed sustainability into everything we do and ensure the sustainability roadmap is translated into best-in-class projects in order to improve performance over time and achieve our ambition.

Exploring external partnerships to achieve greater impact will also be part of what you will need to do.

You will report to the Director of Strategic Transformation


In this role you:

• Define & manage the sustainability program & its roadmap to realize our ambitions.
• Set & monitor shortterm and longterm sustainability goals and translate them into clear KPI's, perform the followup and ensure proper reporting across the company and stakeholders
• Hands on role to develop, analyze and maintain CSR metrics, scorecards and dashboards to measure and track the success of CSR programs and efforts.
• Maintenance and revision of our Carbon reduction plan, implementation of SBTi
• Reporting to auditing bodies and reporting / preparation for

- and assistance to sustainability related audits (CNG, CO2 Logic, RFA, FT, Ecovadis, Sedex, )

• Respond to surveys and inquiries from customers and stakeholders
• Collaborate & educate throughout the organization to embed sustainability in all we do, ensure ambitions are met and our reputation is positively fed.
• Engage with external stakeholders to remain informed on market developments, regulation & new legislation to make sure compliance is achieved and our roadmap is optimized.
• Remain competent and uptodate on sustainability best practices through research, continuous learning and training.
• In the field of Corporate Governance you will manage business risks and govern our entity to execute the business plans based on the management directions and strategy.

Qualifications
As an ideal Sustainability Officer, you have the following qualifications and competencies:

• At least a bachelor degree in a relevant field
• 2+ years of experience in Sustainability management and Corporate Governance
• Handson knowledge in the area of ESG, CSR, CSDR, CS3D, EUDR, SBTi,
• Able to prioritize and meet deadlines, without losing sight of the details
• Project management skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
• Good emotional and cultural intelligence
• Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills
• Perfect English both written and oral, Dutch is a very nice to have and French is a plus
• Ability to proactively build relationships and navigate a transversal organization; skilled at collaborating and influencing at various levels of the organization
