About the role

  • The technical sales manager is the expert and ambassador of one specific category within the Specialties & Decorations range of products. He/ she translates opportunities into projects in line with the defined BU strategy. The TSM is responsible for the volume and margin growth in his/ her scope and for the EBIT impact in the BU. The Technical Sales Manager is responsible for the creation, implementation and follow up of projects with customers in order to support and drive the sales with an expert eye. The Technical Sales Manager meets with customers, generating opportunities and giving the support needed on project development and implementation. The TSM is close to the market and is sharing relevant market insights within the respective teams and translates these insights into business opportunities and growth.
  • This role can be based anywhere within the EMEA region.
    Key responsibilities include
  • Brings product expertise across different stakeholders, technical, USP's, MOQ, SLA's, Pack size,
  • Expert in one specific type of product and brings a 360degree view
  • Creates business opportunities and translates them into tangible business opportunities / projects
  • Acts as the Project Leader for one category of product and owner on customer's request and project
  • Interface between the market and the commercial team, between stakeholders (internal and external),
- especially with Sales, Customer R&D and Marketing
  • Identifies priorities within the portfolio and establishes the project's feasibility
  • Assess route to market/new route to market opportunities
  • Responsible for commercial pipeline and for developing new projects
  • Transposes success stories & sharing best practices (and challenge sales to bring new opportunities)
  • Promotes Winning Portfolio, standard and tailormade solutions for the specific range of product
  • Visits customers and answer to customer's request
  • Interface and category home site (Zundert, IBC, Intra, Halle, Dings Decor, ECC, GHI)
  • Works closely with FM, GCA, Gourmet, participates to sales meetings, to customers visits
  • Books products within a limited scope
  • This role requires travel of 3040% across Western Europe
    About you
  • Masters in Economics/Business/Food Engineering or equivalent with Technical background in food
  • You have minimum 5y+ of experience in Marketing, R&D, Sales
  • Strong Segment insight (market, consumer, customer, retail) is a must.
  • Strong project management skills are required for thos role.
  • You are fluent in English and have a basic understanding of German. Any other European language is a plus.
  • You hold the ability to convince stakeholders engaging crossfunctional teams.
  • Expertise into products.
  • Understanding of the full manufacturing chain of the products.
  • Understanding of key challenges of B2C companies, private label producers as well as retailers.
  • You are a team player and an inspiring leader for a crossfunctional group of peers
  • You are persistent in translating vision into action, agile, open to change and with a positive mindset
  • You are able to deal with ambiguity, combining handson mentality with a strategic view
