Goal of the internship:

The pressure control valves offer pressure build up in the network. It is clear that the model of the filling or emptying tanks has varying dynamic at different pressures. Change in valves states changes the routes of pressure.

The goal of this internship is to obtain/identify models of the pneumatic system from generated data. There is a simple benchmark model with low accuracy available.

The goal is to either use same data or perform additional experiments to identify more complex models with the help of available tools to have higher accuracy models.

Learning target:

Learn about electro pneumatic systems;
Model mechatronic systems;
System Identification of mechatronics systems from control perspective.

Profiel:

Profile Student:

Bachelor degree in mechanical, electrical, control or mechatronic engineering;
Knowledge of modelling is required, experience with Matlab/simulink is highly recommended and some knowledge of system identification is desirable;
Result oriented, responsible and proactive;
A good communicator, able to communicate in English;
Eager to learn and a team player.

The assignment is an internship of 3 months and takes place at the offices of Flanders Make located in Leuven, Belgium.
All software and hardware needed for the execution of the project will be provided by Flanders Make.
